Having served as Civil Engineer for over 16 years in the private sector, the founder of M/s Wings Poultry Farms, village & post – Gagol, Partapur, Meerut (U. P), Er. Rajendra Kumar decided to try his hand in the poultry business. After resigning his job in 2017, he decided to turn his knowledge and passion for poultry farming into a viable business venture and thus, he started his broiler farming business with as little as 500 broilers initially. He faced initial hiccups and could not earn enough as he aspired. Thereafter, he switched to rearing of native breeds of chicken viz. Kadaknath, Aseel etc. and got good profit. He has registered his firm by the name of M/s Wings Poultry Farms, Meerut with an initial capital investment of Rs. 2 lakh. He also got a detailed project report prepared for Rs. 10 lakh from the ABI Centre of the Institute for setting up a commercial poultry farm to raise required loan from the bank. In March, 2020, while expanding his business, he opened a retail outlet in Meerut and started selling his poultry products with the brand name Everyday Chickens and Everyday Eggs and earned good profits through complete value chain right from his “farm to fork”, i.e., the ultimate consumers ensuring direct to home delivery of products. He also obtained the mandatory FSSAI license vide registration no: 22720357000229. He registered his firm with MSME vide Udyog Aadhaar UAM no: UP56DD0347944.
