The Hatchery Unit has an incubation/hatching capacity of about 80,000 eggs at a time. The major activity of this unit is to hatch out the required number of replacement stock of different experimental breeds, pure strains, pure lines, and pedigreed flocks of diversified poultry species. The unit also provides parent/commercial stocks to various government and private poultry farms, and supplies embryonated eggs for vaccines.
