2.3 Manner of execution of subsidy programme [Section 4(i)(b)(xii)]

2.3.1	Name of the programme of activity	TSP:Socio-economic empowerment of tribal population in selected districts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand through intervention of poultry technologies. DAPSC:Entrepreneurship Opportunities and skill development for self-sustainable livelihood and Nutritional Security for socially Privileged Groups (Scheduled Caste).
2.3.2	Objective of the programme	DAPSC - Objectives To develop entrepreneur skills among the Socially Privileged Groups (scheduled caste) by providing hands on training on various aspects of chicken production. To enhance the livelihoods of selected beneficiaries through broiler production under integration module where in a centralized model or type of contract broiler farming (CBF) will be adopted. To improve the economic situation of selected beneficiaries through CARI low input technology birds (desi and its crosses). To establish the hatchery unit at village by group participation for ensuring the self-sustainability in continuous supply chain of chicks. To develop resource material on practical aspects of chicken production and management for the benefit of selected beneficiaries. TSP - Objectives Immediate Objectives: To disseminate poultry technologies in the target population in the selected districts of UP & Uttarakhand. To provide self-employment opportunities through development of poultry entrepreneurship. To assess socio-economic impact of intervention through poultry technologies. Long Term Objectives: To uplift the socio-economic status of the target scheduled tribes of the target areas of UP and Uttarakhand.
2.3.3	Procedure to avail benefits	The following procedure is adopted: Selection of project area on the basis of demographic data obtained from Government publications. Launching of awareness campaign in the project area. Conducting benchmark survey Conducting on-site training sessions for the prospective beneficiaries. Identification and selection of beneficiaries under each of the schemes. Distribution of growers along with supplementary feed and other accessories. Obtaining feedback and trouble shooting. Assisting in providing market access to the beneficiaries. Motivating for self-employment through adoption of poultry processing technologies under the Agri-business Incubation Centre of the Institute. Follow up activities.
2.3.4	Duration of the programme/ scheme	DAPSC: 01.7.2024 to 30.6.2028 TSP: 01.4.2024 to 31.3.2029
2.3.5	Physical and financial targets of the programme	Physical target under TSP: One district each in UP and UK, two blocks in each district, 2-3 villages/cluster in each block, about 50-60 beneficiaries from each village/cluster. Financial Target 2025-26: Rs.: Rs. 41.15 lakh Physical target under DAPSC: One district each in UP and UK, two blocks in each district, 2-3 villages/cluster in each block, about 50-60 beneficiaries from each village/cluster. Financial Target 2025-26: Rs. 75 lakh
2.3.6	Nature/ scale of subsidy /amount allotted	For both TSP and DAPSC programmes: Nature: Non-cash subsidy for promoting income and employment generation through poultry production technologies developed by the Institute, as also for other allied activities to promote skill development. Scale of subsidy: 100% Amount allotted: Subject to the ceiling of the allocated budget as per need.
2.3.7	Eligibility criteria for grant of subsidy	DAPSC: The beneficiary must belong to SC community, preferably BPL with meagre resources. TSP: The beneficiary must belong to ST category, preferably BPL with meagre resources.
